 We have a New Name - North Eastern
Scout Communications Team have been told we need to change our name,
therefore we are now called
STDSCT - Stockton Thornaby District Scout Communications Team
The
purpose of the team is to provide expert help to members of the Scout
Association, youth groups, organizations, event organisers and groups
in general, in the way of specialist communication services, of
whatever type, to ensure safety and efficiency in any event with which
we are involved.
Over recent years the Team have gained an enviable reputation for their
services. Much of our work comes from assisting community organisations
to raise funds and help event organisers organise their events.

With
over 35 years of communicating with the community, no event is too
large or too small. Under a new name formaly North eastern Scout
communications Team (STDSCT) The Stockton Thornaby District Scout
Communications Team has members capable of making any event that little
bit Special.
Team personnel are CRB approved and have a wealth of knowledge and
experience in relation to radio communications, public address systems,
dealing with the general public, event organisors and event management.
Some members have a small amount of experience in first aid.
The team is affiliated to a much larger organisation, The Scout
Association. This national movement has other regional teams to help
with extra personnel or equipment if the event requires it. We will
listen to your requirements to ensure your event is second to none. Our
aim is to help make your event even better.
STDSCT are a part of, and report through Stockton, Thornaby and
District
Scouts (Registered charity number 524704). We are governed by the
Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association and so are
covered by their public liability insurance
STDCST have an enviable reputation for the quality of our services and
have worked with a wide range of different organisations. We aim to
work with event organisers to provide the best possible solutions.

STDSCT
have specialised in event communications since 1975. Our experience,
skills and equipment enable us to support large international sporting
events as well small community functions. The Team is part of the Scout
Association, as such, our members are volunteers.
The founding purpose of the Team was to provide communication services
to Scouting, youth and community events. This remains the core of what
we do; however, much of this is funded through donations from our work
with other organisations.
Our main area of operation is Northern England, from North Yorkshire to
the Scottish Borders. However, this does not prevent us from travelling
further.
Who are your Team members?
The Team is successful because of the varied skills and experiences of
its members. Our “day jobs” include teaching, fire
fighting, financial planning, system analysis, customer services,
mechanics and community development. We are able to combine our
professional skills and interests with our communication systems
experience to provide a quality experience.
As members of the Scout Association, Team members have enhanced CRB
clearance.
